Chinese residents of the Mainland China who wish to enter or stay in Hong Kong for employment of training can apply for a Work Permit/Training Visa under the Admission Scheme For Mainland Talents & Professionals (ASMTP).
Note that this scheme does not apply to Chinese residents of the Mainland of China who graduated with an undergraduate degree/higher qualifications from a Hong Kong locally-accredited full-time program.

Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants for Work Permit under ASMTP should not have any past records of serious offenses/crimes or security objections. The applicant must have proof that he/she is educationally qualified for his/her profession with certain skills, knowledge and/or experience that are not easily found in the Hong Kong job market. The applicant must also have a valid employment agreement/contract clearly stating the information about the job title, job description, remuneration and contract period.
Each case is managed by one of our experienced agents. Time has been proven that with only one main point of contact, it makes communications easy and straightforward for our clients. Our agents are also responsible for collecting required information and documentations from the different parties, liaising with visa applicants, Hong Kong employers/ Sponsors, Education Institutions, and the Hong Kong Immigration Department. An Approved Employment Visa Under the ASMTP
Whether the submitted application will be approved, it is determined by the applicant’s qualifications and/or work experiences, also his/her employing company. All submitted applications will be evaluated by the Immigration Department of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). The validity period of an approved Visa is usually for one year, which may be extended/renewed.
Once the application has been approved, we, as the applicant's authorised immigration consultant, will collect the approved visa from the Immigration Department on behalf of the applicant.
The standard processing time for a Hong Kong Employment Visa application under the ASMTP takes 4 to 6 weeks by the Immigration Department.
The Director of Immigration reserves all rights to approve or to reject an Employment Visa application. In the case when an application is unsuccessful, an appeal can be filed with the authorities.
Note to both employers and employees, a new Hong Kong Employment Visa is required if there is a change of employment.
